FINISH DISCUSSION ON:

Were only the males of the firstborn in jeopardy on the first passover night? If so, why only males?

How do we bless our heavenly Father?

The emblems have always given me a problem. I don’t know why, but I find them very confusing. The bread is the body of Jesus broken — sounds like the ransom. The cup is the shed blood of Jesus — also sounds like the ransom. Do we partake of the bread? Yes. Do we have a share in the ransom? No. Do we partake of the cup? Yes. Do we have a share in the sin offering? Yes. Do we have a share in the ransom? No. See the confusion? And many reprints have many different words describing the same thing as to the meanings of the cup and bread.

So the question is: Exactly what do the emblems mean and what are the differences between them?

What is our scriptural obligation?

In Isa. 35:8, re: the “Way of holiness”:

(a) The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for those. Therefore only the “clean” will pass over it. How do we regard them as being “clean”? At what point do they cease from being unclean, as they will not pass over it “unclean”?

(b) Are those who go-up the “way of holiness” only “clean” on a gradual basis? Or are they reckoned “clean” at the beginning of their way, when they consecrate and come into the condition of the new arrangement, the new temple, the new city ? And who reckons them “clean”?

At what point is the New Covenant made with each individual, who is willing and obedient, and consecrates? And between what and what or who and who does Jesus mediate? Does he do this only at/or near the end? Or does he mediate throughout the Mediatorial Age? Or only at the beginning of each individual’s “journey”?

In John 15:15 we read: “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

Here we have the Lord tell his disciples that we are no longer his servants (slaves) but we’re now his friends. Yet we read in Matthew 12:48-50 in answer to who his mother and brothers, “And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

So now the Lord refers to us as his brethren. I have always been under the impression that the term brethren was the highest term. Yet we read in Proverbs 18:24 that “… there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” So now we’re back to the term “friends”.

How do we reconcile these these terms?

In the Garden of Eden, was that a snake speaking to Eve? How could that be?

06-07-2004

Mention some ways or methods that Satan employed to prevent the birth of our lord [The seed of promise].

In Numbers 20:8-12 God took away the privilege from Moses of going into the promised Land. It was a judgment against Moses. In 1 Samuel 13:14, God refers to King David as “a man after my own heart.” Yet David committed a grievous sin and was severely punished as well. The question is about God’s judgments and how we can judge ourselves: Both sinned and treated God horribly with their actions. Yet it seems Moses got the harsher judgment. How do we reconcile this if we doubt or dispute God — how can we judge ourselves?

06-14-2004

d) Can we see (Hab. 2:3) that the phrase “though it tarry” applies directly to the 2nd Harvest dotted-line on the Chart? And that we are instructed to “wait for it”, nor run-on ahead of it? And that the entire Christ (H & B) is complete & glorified before we leave that dotted-line?

In Genesis 9:20-27 is the account of Noah getting drunk by accident and his son Ham disrespecting him. Why then, if it was Ham who disrespected his father, was it Ham’s son Canaan who got cursed because of that? (See verses 22, & 25-27.) Why wasn’t Ham cursed for his own bad deed?

We have an advocate with the Father in Jesus Christ our Lord. Exactly what does that mean in terms of our consecration and prayer life? Does that mean that when we fail or are steeped in trials that we pray to Jesus? Or do we pray to the Father in Jesus’ name, without ever talking to Jesus? Or do we pray to both? How does this work?

07-12-2004

In the Great Pyramid chapter of Volume III it says that the north wall of the Grand Gallery marks the true birth of Jesus (C362-363). Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.”
